• What are the dimensions of the ACTIV-DRI Vials?

Two sizes of vials are offered, a 17 ml internal volume version and a 24 ml internal volume version.  The dimensions can be found on the drawings at the end of the Technical Guide.

• What colors is the ACTIV-DRI Vial available in?

The ACTIV-DRI Vial is offered in two colors, white and black. For products that are light sensitive, the black vials provide the most protection.

• Are the ACTIV-DRI Vials suitable for automated filling?

The ACTIV-DRI Vial can easily be opened and closed, so it is suitable for both manual and automated filling applications.  Several automated lines for filling ACTIV-DRI Vials have been built and CSP TECHNOLOGIES can provide contacts for suppliers if desired.

• Is the ACTIV-DRI Vial recyclable?

The Vial is made from a combination of polypropylene and a homogenous mixture of polypropylene and molecular sieve desiccant.  The materials can be separated, but it requires special processing.

• Can the ACTIV-DRI Vials be gamma sterilized?

The ACTIV-DRI Vials should not be gamma sterilized.  The moisture tight seal is achieved by a combination of mechanical design, material properties, and processing techniques.  Gamma sterilization has an affect on the material properties, which will impact the seal qualities and reproducibility of the seal.
